Events in January, February and March in Wiltshire are a welcome break from the humdrum of winter. As Spring arrives more events come on the scene.
Outdoor events are already under way, cycling, walking, horse riding. The Natiional Trust properties start to open as Spring arrives. They make a great day out.

Wiltshire 10 Sunday, 12th February 2017 at 10:00am, King George V Playing Fields, Melksham. A flat 10 mile road race over pleasant Wiltshire countryside. This course is a fast one!!!
40th Annual Antiques Fair. 3rd, 4th, 5th March 2017. Wilton House which is three miles west of Salisbury off the A36 going towards Warminster and Bath.
Wiltshire Wildcat Sportive 4th March 2017. Based at Salisbury Racecourse, Netherhampton this ride crosses challenging countryside, stunning views and all that Wiltshire is. Epic, Standard and Short routes.

Stourton is part of the National Trust's Stourhead.
Melksham is a very pleasant market town on the River Avon. Still growing in popularity it is now the fifth largest town in Wiltshire.The town won a Silver Award in the 2013 South West in Bloom contest.
Salisbury Racecourse is not in Salisbury but about four miles away in Netherhampton. Used for flat racing it is a summer racecoure. Other events use the racecourse as a venue for its central location to downland and the city.
Spirthill is only a tiny place that can just be described as a hamlet. With its position on a hilltop it has fine views all round. Situated not too far from Calne.

The events in Wiltshire should be capable of attracting crowds, large village fete size and above, similar to those listed here.
Our observations show that www.travelwessex.com's main visitors are those that love walking, cycling, horse riding and other like minded pursuits, but we welcome all attractions as we have many other visitors as well that we love to cater for. Posting events on this page is free.

There are some delightful cottages around the county. Probably one near where you would love to stay.
Want a cute car? Large car? Small car? Whatever you need you will find it here. You will probably find your favourite car hire firm here and Car Rentals do not add a penny to their price for looking all over for you!
Why not travel by Coach
If you do decide the leave the car at home and help the environment too, why not go National Express. They run coaches all over the country. Some pretty good fares too.
Just imagine - sit back and relax, no hassling with the traffic!!!
